its been 25 years and it still breaks your heart to think he really isn't here with us anymore!

yes, a very sad still feels like it was only yesterday.:(

I played "Woman" when I proposed to my wife. Still the greatest love song ever in my opinion.

Very sad day indeed. Rest in peace, John.

 I was only 5 months old when he died. RIP John Lennon. ("Woman", is one of my favorite songs)

i was born 8years and 11 months after john lennon passed away but the pain of his death is on my heart aswell. rest in peace, john. U will always be loved and rememembered

I once read a book (I think it was written by Elliot Mintz) about John Lennon. What struck me was how happy he seemed during the last 5 or so years of his life, like everything was coming together for him and he was content. It made me particularly sad that he was killed at that time in his life :(.

Watching The Wheels
John Lennon

People say I'm crazy doing what I'm doing
Well they give me all kinds of warnings to save me from ruin
When I say that I'm o.k. well they look at me kind of strange
Surely you're not happy now you no longer play the game

People say I'm lazy dreaming my life away
Well they give me all kinds of advice designed to enlighten me
When I tell them that I'm doing fine watching shadows on the wall
Don't you miss the big time boy you're no longer on the ball

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round
I just had to let it go

Ah, people asking questions lost in confusion
Well I tell them there's no problem, only solutions
Well they shake their heads and they look at me as if I've lost my mind
I tell them there's no hurry
I'm just sitting here doing time

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round
I just had to let it go
I just had to let it go
I just had to let it go

I loved this man when I saw him in concert as a star-struck seven year old girl in 1966.

I love him even more as a grown woman 39 years later.

John Lennon was the most truthful man that I ever saw.

Truthful with himself as truthful as he was with the rest of the world.

So glad that he finally found what he was looking for before his passing from this earth.

I can never forget you, John Lennon.
