I am so tempted to fly away for the weekend and see Bono in the flesh! Who amongst you wants to ditch the hubbies for a couple of hours of Bono watching (and drooling)?

LOL! Of course I am kidding...I wish I could go see him. I would even take my boyfriend...:shifty:....maybe..

Does anyone else here have an understanding man in their life? I know my guy doesn't seem to mind my obsession with U2. He knows it's all just fun but some guys are not so understanding...

Share with me Pleba gals:hug:...how does the man in your life view your fondness for U2? Is he a fan as well?
Does he resemble a member of the band?:flirt:
Does he even know who Bono is?

Of course I would have to look at that amazingly handsome Larry as well:drool:..
....and the Edge with his beanie and green eyes...and Adam with his silvery hair...:D

Well, there is a guy that I've kinda got my eye on...who's a U2 fan as well. I'm sure that makes a difference.

He is the only guy that not only seems to understand my Bono obsession but seems to get a kick out of it. Dare I say he's an enabler? :flirt:
All other guys I've been whatever with before have never tolerated it---yet I had to 'suck it up' when they critiqued each month's Maxim cover girl with their friends in front of me

my husband is pretty cool about my "obession" of U2 he calls PLEBA "porno for the insane", but then again he doesn't really have any room to talk...... he turns into a puddle of mush everytime he sees Jennifer Aniston:shrug:

As far as him looking like any of the members of U2 nope not at all, although he does look a lot like a younger Freddie Mercury

LMAO!! That's really funny!:lmao:

That's not so bad. Jennifer Aniston is cute and seems like a nice person .
I turn to mush when I see Bono...
it's so silly but I can't help but get this goofy smile when I see him :reject:
Fortunately,my guy doesn't seem to be around when I see Bono on TV...:shifty::lol:

I love Queen! What a talent Freddie was!
My guy does bare a little bit of a resemblance to Bono...he has big blue eyes ,dark hair...and has the Bono chin...
Coincidence?:eyebrow: I think not!

My hubby is Irish 5ft 8 inches dark hair blue eyesfreckles and a gorgous accent.

He puts up with my Bono addiction

He comes to U2 concerts with me and he likes them to,

he never passes any remarks when the words God he's so sexy escape from my mouth directed at Bono

He's even let me call him Bono whilst we're having adult fun....

My hub is pretty cool with the whole I Love Bono thing I've got going on.... Sometimes he makes snide remarks just to get me going, but he doesn't mean it. I'm sure deep down, he has some type of affection for the man- ya know, it a GUY way!

But I would jump at the chance to take off with the gals and have a wild, Bono-hunt weekend!! YEP! to be young and free again....

And Billie, I ADORE your pic!

My hubby is very understanding of my u2/Bono obsession. He's not that big of a fan, but lets me be crazy about the "boys".

My 3 year old nephew will see B on the tube and call out "Uncle Bono" because I've told him that's my Euro hubby. My hubby just shakes his head and calls me crazy.

Billie Midol! Hi ! Been a while since I've heard from you-how are ya doing (heh, still into your Bono-lookalike, eh? Cool  :D)?

...I don't know if that's to be taken as a good or a bad thing :p. It's funny, though :D.

Anywho...:sigh:...I wish I had a guy in my life. The only guy I can think of that has to deal with my love for U2 is my dad. But he loves the band, and thinks Bono's pretty cool, so at least it's a good thing. He teases me every now and again about Bono's looks and stuff, but it's all in good fun.

I hope that any boyfriends, or whatever guy I wind up marrying someday, will be cool with my love for these guys.

And I would SO love to join you guys for a drool-fest some weekend! I think that'd be a total blast!

Angela

My soon to be hubby is very understanding of my obsession with Bono. Last time they played (popmart) here he came with me to the concert, I had 2 great floor seats one for me and one for my also obsessed friend and he had to sit further back. This time for Vertigo they are not coming here but I am traveling (8hrs) to Minneapolis with two of my girlfriends for a Bono loving weekend in Sept. This happens to be 3 weeks before we get married. So it's kinda like my stag weekend. What a way to spend it!! He doesn't care at all. :)

My ex boy-friend just hated them. I couldn’t even listen to their music when I was with him. That’s why I chose to remain single.

I've trained my man well! :D Actually, he's a musician and REALLY good singer so he's always been into all kinds of music and always liked U2, but I've tempted him to a higher level of U2 fandom. I'm dragging him along to three concerts this tour.

My other half understands fandom, he's great like that, it doesn't bother him until I post topless pics of Larry on the desktop LOL - he deleted that one and complained "that guy looks gay, who is that?" LOL!

Last Valentines Day (er - 2004 that is) instead of our usual nice romantic dinner/holiday, I flew to NZ to be with David Bowie (my Main Man!) and 79000000000 other Bowie fans and he was OK with it.

Good work there LivLuv... they just have to be fed small doses over a long period, don't they? Still working on mine, he is very into Bowie now but U2 still has to be small doses. We're getting there. I'm hoping to have some concerts to drag him to, that should do the trick!

Cheers ~Ultra

....good for you!

Just who do these blokes think they are to tell you what you can and can't listen to!!

My hubby puts up with my obsession with the band mostly out of good humour. He does get fed up occasionally when I've got their albums on 24/7. But that's just because he gets bored with the same music all the time.

As far as my 'intimate' obsession with one HOT SINGER, he tends to ignore it. Though he does raise his eyebrows when I make horny comments whenever I see B on TV. He knows it's all in fun though cos sometimes I say things just to shock him..:lmao:

..and anyway, I don't care what ppl think regarding my obsession - as far as I'm concerned whenever I hear U2 on the radio or in a shop or something, it feels like I'm coming home. It makes me feel safe and contented...

...is this totally insane?

My hubby's fine with it. He even says,
"There's your boys!" when U2 are on tv. He even has admitted to having a Bono dream - -which I found hilarious. It wasn't the same type of Bono dream that I normally have, mind you.  :combust:

Since I met mine on interference I think he has a quite good understanding of why I love Bono.
Since he knows that I could never love Bono as much as I love him I think he'll have no problem with me freaking out on the tour every time Bono does something remotely sexy.
oh, and did I mention he has a giant poster of bono right in front of the bed?
:D my guy is wonderful.
and it doesnt hurt that hes bono-sized with beautiful blue eyes and thick dark hair   X 100

Nope. Haven't read too many other lines that describe exactly how they make me feel.

Yeah, youvedonewhat, that's not insane at all-I don't think you'll find too many people here who will disagree with you on what hearing U2 means to them.

I remember one time I was watching a U2 video on TV, and my dad came in the room, and he looked at the TV and said, "It's your idols, Ang." :D.

Haha, that is funny-I always get a kick out of hearing about things like that. I don't think anyone in my family has had any U2-related dreams, as I'm sure if they ever did have one, they would tell me.

LOL! Now that would be very interesting indeed...

 to all the guys out there who are cool with you girls' love for U2, to those who aren't (they don't have to be as big of fans as you are, but they could at least respect your music tastes and everything).

My husband caught me drawing up designs for a sign that says 'Will leave husband for Adam'... he says he's not so sure I should go to the concert now... :adam: Hee hee hee...

My husband never cared about my U2 obsession until I got on PLEBA. Now I have to hide it from him or he rags me for it. He can't understand how I can 'look at pics of the same Irish guy' every day for 4 years! :reject:

My hubby is totally fine with my obsession. I'm not leaving him for Bono this weekend, its more like he's sending me away to Bono lol  He surprised me with a GA ticket for San Diego when I wasn't even planning to go because he wants me to experience the band close-up.

He's really great about the whole U2 thing. He's not a huge fan but he takes a big interest in them because of me. He listens to them endlessly in the car, watches DVD's over and over again with me...he's the best

my hubbie allowed me to hang the picture of bono and me on the bedroomwall on one condition:
it had to be a little out of sight, so the first thing i see when i wake up is him and not the b-man.

(i didn't tell him what the last thing is that i see before i go to sleep and have sweet dreams:evil: :bono:  )
