As much as I like Bono and the band I had to vote for John Peel. He did more for music and breaking bands worldwide than ANYONE on the face of the earth. He helped break bands like The Smiths, The Clash, U2, The Jam, Joy Division, The Undertones, Elvis Costello, The Police, R.E.M., Split Enz, The Cure, Depeche Mode, and the list goes on...and on...and on.................
