HELP!! I need U2 in one paragraph!!

I posted this in EYKIW too, but I thought that I could get some excellent feedback from my PLEBA gals also.

Hey you all! My friend has been elected orientation leader at her college for next year, and the theme for orientation is "Rock On." So, in the spirit of things, each girl on the committee has to pick a band and write a paragraph about them. (For what, I don't know.) Anyway, she chose U2 (I'm so proud! ) She asked me to write a paragraph about them for her, but I'm afraid even my best efforts won't do them justice.
So, here's your challenge should you choose to accept it: *hums Mission Imposibble theme* Write me a killer paragraph about U2. About ANYTHING that has to do with them - history, lyric info, band members. But only *ONE* paragraph!

Well, knowing how my students are, one paragraph can mean a LOT.

How long does this paragraph have to be? Since many of us are prolific writers, when you say one paragraph, OK... you'll just get a big ol' looooooong page o' stuff. LOL. Just wondering. I don't think I could say everything I needed to say about U2 in one paragraph.
