Daddy Bono

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Those poor children! Being the same age as Jordan, (well, actually I'm about a month older :nerd: ) I have to say that's one of the most embarrassing things a dad could do.

:sigh: I wish I went to their school.

Jordan and Eve and another girl (One of Edge's daughters, I think... she was holding hands with Jordan) walked past us a couple of times when we were waiting for U2 to come on. My friend and I felt very dejected by their beautifulness ;)

Where was that? I thought I saw them walk past me at Twickenham.. but wasn't sure.

Right at the front, by the stage - we couldn't make out where they were going though. If you were anywhere in the front section, then it probably was them you saw.

Yeah I was right at the front barrier on Edge's side! I thought it was them! :)

I better take this chance to apologise for being the crazy girl who kept screaming whenever Bono was trying to talk...

:shifty:

;)

I don't know when that picture was taken, but it was in front of the Gershwin Theater and apparently he brought the girls to see Wicked.

No prob.

It opened on Broadway 2 years ago, so I guess that gives you a vague time frame of when it could be from.

ETA: *sigh* I can't believe I actually looked this up...I did a google search and found this:

"October 29, 2004...In New York, Chris and I attended Wicked, a quite amazing Broadway musical. (In random and fortunate coincidences, in the audience were also Bono of U2 and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.) "

Bono and Elvira, eh?? And I beg to differ w/ this fellow that Wicked was "quite amazing," but that's another story.

I hope it works :reject: , it's really cute :)

:reject: So sorry I'm that late, but is there any chance I could get a repost please? I've been after this interview for a while, and I just found out you ladies knew it.:uhoh:

One of my sister-in-law´s friends works as security in gigs and when Pavarotti played in Dublin a few days ago, he had to escort Ali and the girls to one of the exits ( or was it backstage? I can´t remember!). Anyway, he said he got talking to Jordan and that the 3 of them were very nice and gorgeous.

They are lovely girls, but that is not the way you dress for the theatre. They must be spending too much time with Aunt Ann.;)

Actually, I go to the theatre a lot, and I usually end up wearing something that's along the lines of what Jordan (?, on the left) was wearing (can't help it; it's usually a dart from class/work up to the theatre, hence no time to change). Though my jeans usually aren't ripped. Then again, my entire wardrobe probably cost less than that pair of jeans.

Mabel, you have to know what I mean, it's not jeans although I can't stand ripped in such places, I don't care if Todd Oldham did the ripping, it's the sneaks and the track suit and all. I mean, if this is what they wear to the theatre, then what do they wear if they go to the Knicks game, a G-string, stilletoes and a sailor hat? (But enough about Beyonce courtside!)

The_Edge89, that's definitely Eve.

Very nice pic - thanks for posting it. ;)

Well, you never know...some people are purists and the thought of wearing jeans, period, would be enough to drive them up a wall, ripped or not. I was waiting by the stage door somewhere last year and some woman practically yelled at me for what I was wearing (nice jeans, a courderoy jacket, and I don't know what on my feet, but I'm sure not sneakers, as I hardly ever wear them) so you never know! I've seen some pretty trashy attire going to the theater lately, and while the track suit is kind of over the line, as long as none of their cell phones went off during the show, all is forgiven, so to speak!

AND they don't rattle the Junior Mints in your ear after intermission, AND they don't talk about toilet training their demon sprog while the play is on, AND they don't sing along to the score like they're part of the union...

And I sense that you always dress to respect what is happening on that stage -- that's what it's all about. A rather esoteric concept to be sure, especially in this day and age, when walking upright is about to be defined as "purist," but what the hell, keeps me off the streets!:)

UGH!!!! I hate people that sing along! Save it for the car ride home, people. It's always the people that get the words wrong too, that are sing-a-long-ers!

What IS IT with the Hewson obsession with platform shoes???

Said it before, say it again, I still can't quite get over that Bono is a Dad. Kinda messes with my fantasies, you know?? :sexywink:

I agree. I look at these pictures of such beautiful kids and all I can think is "He's Someone's DAD- Quit thinking such perverted thoughts!
And no shit about the platforms- they all must be a bunch of shorties!

LOL you youngin'- I was a junior in High School when Jordan was born- and had been fantasizing about her daddy for years by then.

Someone said the girls got the best genes- not so. Those Boys are too precious for words. Take a look at Eli's curls some time- too much.
