Bono was refusing to speak to Edge, he had been all day and it wasn’t about to change anytime soon.

“Where is he?” Larry growled in frustration. “We have a show to play in a few minutes.”

Willy burst into the room looking agitated. “Has anyone seen Vik?”

“Not since this morning,” Bono replied while Adam and Larry shook their heads.

“She’s disappeared. I haven’t seen her all day and James has started to stir up trouble again.”

“I’m going to kill Edge,” Bono seethed.

Paul stuck his head into the room. “They’re ready for you out there.” He paused and looked around. “Where’s Edge?”

“No bloody clue,” said Larry. “Though it might have something to do with Vik.”

Bono shook his head. “Vik’s gone on her own accord. Edge is probably with Aislinn.”

“What!” Adam exclaimed. “Why would he be with her?”

“Because he’d agreed to meet her and they were getting back together.”

“What does that have to do with Vik then?” Larry asked.

“Well they were dating,” Bono said. “And since she was the one who had to drag him out of the depression he was in a couple months ago you can imagine how she feels.”

“They were dating?” said Adam. “I didn’t know that.”

“I think I’m the only one who did,” said Bono sourly.

A tech ran into the room. “Edge just showed up to get his guitar.”

“Go,” said Paul. “We’ll deal with this later.”

Bono managed to ignore Edge for the duration of the concert and as far as he was concerned the guitarist might as well have not been on stage.

“Bono, I need to talk to you,” Edge said coming up to him afterwards.

“Yeah, well I have nothing to say to you.” Bono replied continuing to walk away.

“Then bloody listen!”

“Why should I? You never listen to me.”

“Except I didn’t get back with Aislinn.”

Bono stopped walking. “What?”

Edge snorted. “Got your attention did I.”

Bono scowled at him. “You better not have been lying.”

“He wasn’t.”

Bono spun around to see Vik leaning against the doorjamb behind him.

“You could do with not holding grudges against people like you do.”

“I do not hold grudges,” Bono exclaimed.

Vik rolled her eyes. “Sure. In the time I’ve known you you’ve held a grudge against me for almost landing on you because you were to stupid to follow directions, one against Edge for a moment of stupidity which you would not let him explain and one against Aislinn for leaving Edge.”

“And you don’t hold grudges against anybody,” Bono replied.

“I’m lazy and that requires effort,” Vik replied with a smirk.

Edge chuckled. “Can we stop arguing now?”

“I wasn’t arguing,” said Bono stubbornly.

Vik rolled her eyes and sighed. “Bono, just shut up.”

Months later the tour had drawn to a close and the band was returning home to Dublin. Vik was accompanying Edge having made the decision to move in with him.

“This is your house,” she exclaimed when they pulled into the driveway.

A corner of Edge mouth twitched in amusement. “No, it’s someone else’s.”

Vik thumped him in the chest. “Shut up you.”

He laughed before leading her inside.

“I think the entirety of my old apartment would fit in your kitchen,” Vik muttered as she looked around.

“Our kitchen,” Edge corrected pulling her into him arms and resting his forehead against hers. “Because this is your house too, now.”

“I know. But it’s still going to take some getting used to.”

Edge smiled before kissing her, “It might take less getting used to then you’d think.”

Vik smiled back at him. “Well we’ll just have to see, won’t we.”
