Bono attended a dinner for Africare last night in Washington DC! I went to the website looking for info and saw that anybody could go if you pay $150! WHY don't we know about these things ahead of time

I don't think they had any pix. Since this is PLEBA and not FYM I won't get into this, but there was a heck of a political controversy concerning certain figures involved in this function (*not* Bono). Maybe everyone was a bit too gloomy for pix. Damn.

I wouldn't know....Ireland, like Switzerland, has neutrality status in military matters, and isn't a member of NATO. Of course it's also a member of the Security Council in the U.N. right now.....go figure, it's complicated.
