Bono on fatherhood

In 2002, rock star and political activist Bono said having children has only increased his desire to make a difference in the world.

"People [thought that having children] would chill me out, [but] it made me more angry. You think about the world that they're inheriting, and you think about the way things are…it made me understand why people fight wars. When I saw my child being born…you have a feeling that you would do anything to protect that life, and it's a dangerous feeling. But you can put it to use in terms of getting politically active and not lying down."
