Maybe we're getting to in-depth for the MTV context tho....in terms of fashion they could probably be as superficial to mean simply who the most people take fashion cues from....?

I'd say, based on the usual MTV audience and all the award winners in recent years, I see this award going to Jay Z or Beyonce. I just don't see Bono win this. I don't think the majority of MTV's audience these days even knows what Bono is doing.

It's so sad, I remember also when MTV actually played music 24/7! Now........most of these people when I see them, I think Who's That? oh well.......maybe someone, somewhere will come up with another music channel?
