Nah, Adam's have never been pierced. His lobes are completely untouched. And if you notice, his earrings in the One video were big, clunky clipons.

I saw a clip from 1981-82 (Bono just beginning to get he mullet going), Bono was talking to the interviewer, while Adam was sitting next to him twiddling an earring in his own ear.
