Now she's spit on a cop!

I'm so glad he didn't end up with her. She has a bad temper and probably would have been an abusive wife.

Still it's kind of sad she makes worldwide headlines with this rather petty stuff (like the cell phone) If a non famous person did all this, it would make the back page police blotter of their hometown rag at best.

Sky: Naomi Campbell arrested at Heathrow

By RAPHAEL G. SATTER, Associated Press Writer 13 minutes ago

LONDON - Supermodel Naomi Campbell was arrested at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 Thursday for allegedly spitting at a police officer, Sky News television reported.

A 37-year-old woman was arrested at the terminal on suspicion of assaulting

police, a London Metropolitan Police spokesman said, speaking anonymously in line with force policy. He refused to disclose the woman's identity or say whether the incident took place inside the terminal or aboard a plane.

BAA PLC, the company that runs Heathrow, did not immediately return calls seeking comment Thursday.

British Airways PLC, the terminal's sole occupant, referred questions to BAA and police.

Campbell, 37, has a history of getting physical with assistants and employees.

In 2000, the British fashion model pleaded guilty in Toronto to an assault charge for beating an assistant while making a film in Canada in 1998. Under an agreement with prosecutors, Campbell expressed remorse and was released without punishment or a criminal record.

In January 2007, Campbell pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for throwing her mobile phone at her maid in a dispute over a missing pair of jeans, for which she was ordered to do community service and attend a two-day anger-management program.

A representative for Campbell could not immediately be reached.

What does she have to be so angry and violent about. She should appreciate what she has (because so many others have so much less and remain decent human beings).

Anyway I hope Adam is thanking his lucky stars that that relationship is over...I DO think the band are still friends with her though.

i wonder the same thing. probably thinks shes better than everyone else and treat people the way she wants to because shes famous.

yeah i think bono is

It's a good thing that she and Adam didn't end up together. He seems like such a laid-back, nice guy, which is the opposite of her.

Hello, plebans! How are you! I wanted to comment on Naomi Campbell. I used to be a Miss Campbell. I was constantly angry and frustrated--though I had things going for myself--but I constantly felt that I was being attacked. The anger response is typical of someone like this. I'm happy to say that I went to counseling--though I have periods of anger--I have learned to use it to inspire, rather than rile people. I pray for her and others like myself that use anger as a shield to protect ourselves. So, please don't judge her to harshly--we don't know her personally, nor, do we walk in her shoes everyday. Take it from a former anger-addict. Peace to you all!!!!

I agree. I mean, I realize this is in the news, and that people will talk about it...and I understand what sort of natural reaction would be prompted from this, considering that she has been involved in incidents like this before...but I think some of the comments in this thread are pretty mean.

Just because someone is famous and beautiful and has a lot of money and opportunity doesn't mean that everything is all sunshine and perfection.

It is sad that she seems to have so many anger problems. I do feel sorry for her in that aspect. Yet the frustrating thing about this is 1. it happened in an airport and I'm sure everyone around her was freaked out for all this chaos going on before getting on a plane, 2. if I would have done that I would have been arrested and thrown in jail in a second. She gets off becuase she is famous and beautiful. Very frustrating.

This is just one of many cases of baggage rage this week at the new terminal 5, but yet because she a celebrity lets all moan and bitch about her.

She has a short fuse so what ? she is human after all.

Put it this way, i'd love her to fight in my corner.

This may be what caused them to break up to begin with - her anger problems. She just seems like a spoiled brat to me, but just my opinion. She needs to be knocked on her can a few times.

I am guessing she was slighty more enraged than the average terminal 5 punter or they wouldn't have had to escort her off the plane.

How do you know this hasnt happened before this week ? its only documented the way it has been because its a celebrity.

I remember reading somewhere Ali speaking about Naomi. She said that she was a "good girl" and the interviewer then asked something about Naomi's troubles and Ali said basically "Well, if you were thrust into a career of supermodeling at such a young and impressionable age you would have issues too".

Wasn't Naomi rude to U2's people during ZooTV or was she just rude to the hotel staff? Can't remember where I read that either.......

U2 at the End of the World
it was to the hotel staff, so they would prepare some food for U2 and everybody else who was present.

Oh yeah, now I remember. Someone came to tell Adam that Naomi was "going off" on some staff and Adam asked if any of the people were employed by him and the person replied "no" and Adam said "Oh, OK". It's like they all tip-toed around her "Diva-ness" and very bad behavior. Bono and Ali seem to adore her despite all that. I have to say though, I have a friend who can be very "Diva" and obnoxious but I love her to death......

I remember reading a story about a night she went off on a hotel chef because it was late and he wouldn't cook for her - something along those lines - and when she went to leave she walked straight into a sliding glass door. Adam laughed and said "Well, serves her right!"

You know the last time she went off the rails like this; it was when Mr. Clayton announced his engagement. Um... I wonder if he's about to announce that he is getting married or is married to the underwear model (an Ali Look alike)

My tuppence worth is.....Ms Campbell and many others like her (Brittiney among others) biggest problems is....they have no concept of reality. They are used to having it all their own way and when the tinyest thing goes against them, their reaction is over the top.
I have no sympathy for ppl like this, coz at least they are in the financial position to get professional help.

Can you elaborate? WHO is this underwear model???

Oh please-could you stop now. As far as i know it's a thread about Naomi Cambell (even if I have no idea why it is disscused on U2 forum...Is she a member of the band...?) and not 'Adam's secret realtions to the models-thread'.Gossips, gossips, gossips. Maybe you just should leave his privat life and live your own..?

BTW- Is it ok to call somebody a 'bitch' on a public forum? Do the admins allow that? Hmm... I don't like Naomi's behaviour as well but I think there is no need to call her like that.

If I heard about a non-celebrity getting escorted off a plane after going off on one about their luggage going missing I'd still have the same opinion about it.

It's being discussed because she used to date Adam.

Adam = member of the band.

Sorry but I personally feel she is not a 'nice' person. While I admit that I dont know her personally, I've read plenty about her over the years in magazines, watched on TV etc. And its also no secret that she 'did Adam wrong' years ago so that just adds to list of reasons why people dont like her.

However, no its not necessary to call her a bitch, so I apologize for that if I offended anyone.

We are pretty open to most discussions here. We do have rules about discussing the bands' private life in details. While some things are ok since most are all over the internet anyway, we do have a respect for the bands' privacy and therefore if threads get too serious, or especially if the children are discussed in too much detail, the threads will be closed. I hope that answers some of your questions :)

Also, I would 'welcome' you, but you have a couple of other usernames here so I dont think you're that new.

It is disrespectful to call any woman a bitch. This entire thread is tacky. Yes, Naomi Campbell used to date Adam.....a long time ago. So. What.

Like another poster said up-thread, the band is still friendly with her. Even Ali has defended her and Bono too. She must not be as bad as the press is trying to make her out to be if that's the case.

I guess I just want to ask, does anyone know her? Did any posters witness this firsthand?? Because, wow.
Some of the comments made here are just offensive. It sounds to me like a load of jealous, judgmental, envious, squawking.

I'll go ahead and close this then, since its so offensive to some.
