I already posted this on "Everything you Know is Wrong", but i just couldn't resist letting plebans know that there is a song you can listen to sung by Bono for the movie "pirates of the carribean".

The following link tells about the Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack. There is a sample you can listen to of Bono's rendition of "A Dying Sailor to His Shipmates" .
Sounds really sweet. Others on the CD include: Sting, Tom Waits ( love him!!) , Guggi and Gavin, Nick Cave and of course our boy.

BTW another little nice feature, Johnny Depp is one of the producers of the record.

:scream: so teasingly short but thanks so much!

Can't wait to see it, especially now!!!

I already saw this in the News section.
I know I should have come here first :reject:

But what struck me was that this little clip, however small it was, reminded me of something else.
First I couldn't place it but then it sort of hit me.
I may be the only one who feel this way , so don't bash me, but these few lines are very similar to the first 4 lines of Simple Minds' Belfast child:

When my love said to me,
Meet me down by the gallow tree.
For it's sad news I bring,
About this old town and all that it's offering.

Any one else share this opinion?

BTW I  Belfast child, so I wouldn't mind if it is based on the same traditional.
