Would be cool if they played Electyrical Storm for Katrina victims!

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I was thinking they might not play this song because of Katrina ("On rainy days we go swimming out"). But I might be wrong. I really want this song to be played live.

umm that might be a little inappropriate. Kinda like the idea of manic street preachers playing tsumani at the tsumani concerts (don't worry they didn't)
Don't get me wrong, i would love to hear it, but just not in that context

I think Crumbs would be better for the Africa moment. I think the most appropriate song would be MLK or Yahweh. They shouldn't just take any song that could have a reference to water or a small reference to New Orleans (Stay, Desire) and dedicate the song to them. It should be something more meaningful.

i think an accoustic performance of stuck in a moment and in a little while could be cool

OMG that would just ROCK. Imagine if they did one after the other! Dreamland...

I don't think that the casual fan would get it though, just a few hardcore down the front.

hmm, electrical storm? what kind of sense would it have? hundreds of people died and they sing electrical STORM?
"baby don't cry?".............................it would be offensive

 Sarcasm, I hope?

Or "Walk On"?

I'm not sure these lyrics would be that well received:

The sea, it swells like a sore head
And the night, it is aching
Two lovers lie with no sheets on their bed
And the day, it is breaking
On rainy days we go swimming out
On rainy days swimming in the sound
On rainy days we go swimming out.........

Car alarm won’t let you back to sleep
You’re kept awake dreaming someone else’s dream
Coffee’s cold but it’ll get you through
Compromise, that’s nothing new to you
Let’s see colours that have never been seen
Let’s go to places no one else has been..........

It’s hot as hell, honey, in this room
Sure hope the weather will break soon
The air is heavy, heavy as a truck
Need the rain to wash away our bad luck

I could be wrong but something tells me that the victims of the hurricane aren't praying for rain right now.
