What does VIP mean on the ticket?

When I went to the Minneapolis show, one girl had VIP on her ticket (which was a GA ticket) as was mine, but mine didn't have VIP on it. I'm not sure if she got into the ellipse or not, but has anyone heard of this before?

what does 'band pool ticket' mean? does it help to get you into the ellipse?

it means you ordered it from the band's management... i.e. you either know someone or you work for someone who knows someone, or you know someone who knows someone, got the tickets from someone in the industry, etc. etc.

if you go to the will call windows before the show, you'll notice that one of the windows usually says "band drop" on it. that's where you pick up these tickets.

it doesn't gaurantee entrance into the ellipse... and not all band pool tickets are GA

I have gotten tickets from management and they say different things each time. One even says DATA on it!
