have seats behind, which I've heard are great (correct me if I'm wrong), but in the 200 level.
how high is the lighting rig?
will it block my view at all?
and how much is the crowd into it that's not on the floor? is everyone on their feet the whole time?

200s should be fine. You should be under the lighting rig.

I'd say 95% of the crowd is on their feet at any given time :)

Hi, we were in 226 (dead center rear stage) row 8. The lights were fine. Sometimes they lowered this one set of big black ones that might interfere with the view if Bono was way out on the ellipse, but nothing major. These are ones I took without the zoom lens.....

Man those are great visual aids. I would love to see one show from this view, just once, but doubt I could get the wife on board. She has been spoiled by the heart and ruined for life.

wow. not only do I get a good answer, I get pictures too. very cool.
I have row 4 seats in that very same section.
were those photos taken with a digital camera? I'm gonna have to go back and reread some posts about cameras to find out how well I need to conceal my digital.
thanks LivLuv...

Seriously, the biggest problem with the lights (not on May 7, but certainly on the 9th and I imagine the 10th) is that the extra rigs are EXTREMELY fucking hot. Two minutes into the show, everbody you could see was drenched and clearly uncomfortable. I think that those sort of things make a show that much more "intense," but a number of people were visibly ill because of it.

But yeah...for 80-85% of the show, you'll be fine back there. No biggie.
