Does anybody know anything about local crews to help load-in / load-out? How does one join, and do you have to be unionized?

I am specifically talking about the U.S.

Thanks for any info.

I was local crew for Popmart, but Elevation they werent requesting any help because they had enough on their own crew to handle it. Dunno about all places but for the show I wanted to work that was the case.

If the show is a really huge setup, then there may be feelers sent out. Best thing to do is contact the arena near you management or office and ask them when tour dates are announced.

Basing completely on assumption it looks that this tour will be more flashy than Elevation but not as huge as Zoo TV or even close to Popmart.

U2 are really tightknit as well, they have a huge crew of their own, local crews are not out of the question but if you're really wanting to get on the inside, call the arena managment and ask about security.
