Spiritually speaking, I get a lot more out of U2 concerts than any church. No offense. I was raised Catholic and 'Had to go'. Basically all I got out of that was fear and guilt. I only wish I was forced to go to see the band every Sunday! "The spirit is in the House!"
 
U2 basically ruined church for me. As arrogant as this sounds, I feel like there's nothing for me to learn at Church that I havn't already figured out from listening to U2.
 
I know exactly what you're saying. U2's music has really changed me for the better ( I hope). It made me realize that the church is not any building.

it's funny... my friend and I were having this exact same conversation on the way home from the 12/5 boston show. we've both seen several shows on this tour and are always amazed at how inspiring and uplifting each evening is. :)
 
I had something akin to a religious experience during the first show I saw on this tour, during Streets.
