Today and this weekend in fact only goes to show how fantastic the presale was.

It will need something like a legitimate antitrust investigation to stop ticketmaster and all the 'ticketing agencies' from causing this mass overdemand for U2 tickets.
I'm not saying the concerts would not have sold out anyway, but when an agency (not joe bloggs with his dole check! but a group with a 6 figure petty cashflow) can use an internal ticketmaster connection and make margins of 200 to 500% markups on tickets, that's causing this overdemand.
Now multuply this agency with a 6 figure cash flow times 3000, then you get some idea of the magnitude of the problem. EVERY ticket agency bar NONE has access to these internal connections. Those that don't bribe tickematser agents to get them their tickets.
I have a feeling they'll be an awful lot of scalpers (Agency 's last resort) to every fan at a lot of venues desperate to sell tickets. As sad as it is to see a lot of fans without tickets, it'll be funny to see them squirm!
