I think fourth leg will be Australia/New Zealand/Japan and the fifth leg will be Mexico/South America.

I don't trust the US/Europe rumours for next year.

I agree, going to the US 3 times??? only if they need a lot of money to get back to the green

A whole leg in Washington... :drool:

Seriously speaking, I hope they hit Argentina this time... fans are seriously waiting for them down home.

* needs to find an excuse for a business trip to Buenos Aires around March or April 2006 *

What U2 SHOULD do:

- February: Australia, New Zealand
- March: The Americas south of the US border
- April: Japan and mainland Asia, Africa

I'm sure they could do it quicker than that too, but hey, give them three months to play all over!

What would happen if Pablo's boss ever found out about this site? :hmm:

They should go to Africa, really. I mean, come on, a concert in South Africa at least!!

I think they'll at least hit Australia and probably New Zealand. They might as well go to Japan too. I think they may do a couple dates in South America as well, but I think Australia is the most likely. I seriously doubt they'll go back to the US or Europe until they've done all that.

I hope they do an album like Zooropa and play new stuff on the 4th leg :drool:

What about a stadium tour of the u.s in 2006.

:drool:

And an arena tour in Europe.

So we both get to experience both of it.

* waits for people in the rest of the world to complain *

I agree!
Some dates already booked for June next year and I think there may be some surprises in store as in venues!!

Well whatever their plans are for the 4th leg, they should be announcing them sooner than later, wouldnt you think? And i wouldnt be surprised to see them take a good month or so off after the 3rd leg. Not diving right into another part of the tour

I don't know if this is old news or not, I'm sure it probably is and that most of you hardcore 'bluecrackies' already know this...

The tour is supposedly *provisionally* scheduled to continue on until September 2006 according to one of the roadies at a UK gig.

With 'provisionally' being the operative word.

Whether it will or not is another matter. But I have a feeling it might go something like...

* Australia (January/February 2006)
* New Zealand (January/February 2006)
* Japan (February 2006)
* Central/South America (February/March 2006)
* South Africa (March 2006)

Break

* Europe (Spring 2006)

This is roughly where a lot of the various reports/rumours I've been reading of late are pointing to. The final leg of the Popmart tour kind of panned out like that (with the exception of the return to Europe bit).

I imagine that the fourth leg is probably mapped out as far as it can be, with the band taking the final decision, depending on how they're feeling after they're a little way into the third leg, I don't think they'll officially announce/commit to anything until a lot closer to the time, there's no need for them to do so. I would bet Aus/NZ/Japan/Central/South America/South Africa are pretty much dead certs already though.

Europe... I so hope so and am crossing my fingers and things(!) I'm sure they'd have no problems selling out another indoor or outdoor leg in Europe next year.

As for America... Spring 2006, I can't see this happening in all honesty after the ticket sales from the US stadium legs of the Popmart tour. Maybe things might be different in America now, but with the band having done a fairly extensive stateside tour through 2 legs in America by the end of this year, I just can't see it happening.

What do I know anyways!

Have to wait and see I suppose!

Well, I think it is highly likely that they will go to Australia, New Zealand, South America and Japan this time, since the tour has been such a huge commercial success everywhere. I highly doubt a return to Europe or the US, however. Not before a new album has been made.

If they want Tim Tams and Guinness, they will stick with playing Vertigo just the once, don't you worry. :wink:

I had a bitch of a 30-hour, four flight trip from Nashville to the Gold Coast (which is where my backyard is - I miss NZ).

I'm going to see how many people I can cram in. I'm hoping for 100 a night! Mmmm, ticket profits. :drool:
