well... after going thru 5 pages of posts, I'm more confused about what to choose. With such a large bill - maybe they get a half hour at most, right? If they do open with McCartney and 'Sgt. Pepper', do they go straight into 'With A Little Help From My Friends'?
I think Vertigo would really get the crowd going, perhaps into Beautiful Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday, One, and Imagine. Sure, I'd love Bad, but don't know if they'll do it again. Can you just see U2 carrying the torch from Lennon and spreading the message:
Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...
Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.
I just love that song, and would love to hear U2 perform it. Be it here, there, or anywhere for that matter (pun intended). I think it's one of my favorite all time songs
