MSG just ties to close to the city of New York itself
you think of Coney Island
Rockefeller Center
the Radio City Music Hall
the Empire State Building
and
Madison Square Garden
it's one of the great American venues
i never understood it when people said that until I saw shows there...it's so true. Can't even explain it, but it's a phenomenal atmosphere/vibe.u2wedge said:
Axver.. MSG is the holy grail of concert venues... that's just fact.
You'll never win that argument.

I don't see why the NYC audience is exclusive to MSG. And I'd rather U2 play their own songs anyway.

Bono's interest in music hasn't wained. he just has more on his plate now. U2 is the only band to be at it this long an actually still remain relevant. The age range at their shows is amazing. THEY ARE NOT QUITTING!!!!!!

The other buildings are great American buildings but MSG is a great world building. It's probably the most famous arena in the world.

I really don't care. What's so special about MSG? It's just a frigging arena.
If you want a special venue, how about U2 play atop One Tree Hill or walk the streets of Hobart, Tasmania (aka Van Diemen's Land)?
