My thoughts on the tour in this moment

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I'd like the visuals to be more impressive at the start

but they're playing as good as they've ever played before.

So no real complaints from me..

I agree with all the positives, especially Zoo Station. I didn't care for it on the bootlegs of the first few concerts, but I really enjoyed it live.

The one thing I don't agree with is the "Greatest Hits Tour" comment. The list of songs you mentioned were all routinely part of the PopMart setlists and that was by NO means just a "greatest hits" tour either!

thats simply not true, the band were NEVER quoted about playing new stuff, it was just a rumour posted here, as i posted the other day, U2 done the same on the ZooTv tour, played the SAME setlist mostly EVERY night, without even changing 1 song,

then how come i have a video on my computer of an interview where Bono says they have to have new setlists in Europe to keep it fresh

As I've said before, they have a new opener and the first few songs are reorganised. That, by U2 standards, is probably a new setlist.

In any case, we all know to take Bono's statements with a grain of salt.

maybe bono simply meant re-organising of the set. due to daylight etc

in all fairness..the way he said it it was like man they are going to play a couple of special songs that haven't been played for a long time. (and that they didn;t play in the US)
When he said America was just warmup I do not think he ment the re-organisation if you now what i mean.

at least I think

they are a bit different just not better IMHO...

I just came back from Berlin.... and I must say that I was a little bit disappointed. I don't know why, I am almost mad at me for feeling like that! I was expecting too much by reading the reviews that said this tour was the best.... I think it is a good tour, but without any real feelings... like ZOO tv, Elevation or even Joshua Tree..... it is like a mix of all, which is good, however, many songs are not played well or the way they used to be played..... I'm maybe too maniac about U2 music....

I will go to Zurich with lower expectations, and I'm sure it will be a BOMB!!!!!
