MERGED-->U2 special announcment in NYC ...??? + Surprise Shows

KRock is supposed to have some U2 concert announcement at 5:00 PM EST. I would imagine we'll find out what exactly is going on then. I'm in California, so doesn't matter much to me, but I'm still curious.

Just reporting what was posted over at Zootopia. There are at least a couple of people suggesting that U2 will be playing tonight & Wednesday in New York.

actually, there is a kind of wacky rumor i heard from 2 different friends who work for record co's that U2 may do an Irving Plaza type surprise gig on wednesday and that it will air live on sirius radio...again no confirmation just sharing what i heard...
