MERGED-->I GOT MY PRESALE TICKETS BRAGGING THREAD

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I think that maybe if you never used your code for the first leg AND you were a former prop member, you could use it for two shows?

My email that I got said that I could only get a pair of tickets to one show on the third leg.

2 pairs for 2 shows Propaganda members with unused code from the 1st presale

1 pair for 1 show Propaganda members who had used their code in the 1st presale. (i.e. Me). I only bought 2 tickets for 1 show.

My sister got 2 GA's for Staples 11/1...I got 2 GA's for Staples 11/2...

Only $127.50 for two u2 shows!!! Now this is what it should be like...

Thanks U2 for caring...This has gone a long way in making things right again!

:dancing:

I got 2 GA's to Staples 11/1 and 2 GA's for 11/2.
I'm in such shock right now, I'm trembling.

YAY!!!!

I got 2 GA's for 11/1 and 2 GA's for 11/2 in Los Angeles. The nervousness is over! Thank You U2!

Philly tix in no time

Yep, it took a total of 5 minutes and I had my tickets (of course, I'd already signed in and had the page up [refresh refresh refresh]and had my credit card info saved).

Got 114, Row 3. Gooooooood stuff.

Within ONE minute, I got 2 GA's for LA 11/2, so did my friend, and another friend got 2 GA's for each LA night, using both of her pairs. Saving my 2nd pair for Salt Lake.... YAY!

Thanks, Larry!!!!

Sweet!! I was a former Prop subscriber (since 1994) who got nosebleeds to the 4/5 Staples show in the first pre-sale after tons of glitches. My re-enabled code allowed me to do the pre-sale today and I got two GAs for the 11/2 Staples show. No problems, really smooth and quick. Larry Mullen is THA man! He said he'd make it up to us, and he made good on his promise. I'm really glad to read all of these triumphant posts after the woe and misery of the first pre-sale.

U2 is truly one-of-a-kind. How many other bands out there would have even acknowledged the problem much less try to rectify things?

Thanks Larry!!!!

It really is that good

I was a big critic -- sent the fax to management, etc. But they really came through. I can understand those that aren't happy, but you have to use seniority or something in a club this size. All of the fanclubs do it. And hopefully they'll open up more seats next tour.

I got GA for LA #1, then rockin' seats for LA #2. I got the seats 'cause my wife couldn't take off both days. Lots of money, but then I checked the scalpers, my seats were going for $1600.

I think you're fine

I used my code today just to see if it worked, but didn't buy tickets as my presale is next week. I know there were glitches in the first leg of sales with codes - is there any reason to suspect that I will have a problem with my code next week because I entered it in this week (but didn't actually buy tickets)?

I checked about a half dozen shows and canceled out if I couldn't get the right tickets. When I finally did make my 2 purchases for 2 tickets/ea for Atlanta and Chicago, all was fine, and I've already contacted ticketmaster to change my shipping instructions for the Atlanta Tickets...everything seemed legit as I gave them my confirmation# and 2 GA's popped right up.

As others have said, Prop members with UN-USED codes from the 1st presale could buy maximum of 2 tickets/show for a total of 2 separate concerts...4 maximum. No worries!

Hey BeLIEve,
How did you change your shipping instructions? By phone or e-mail? I need to do the same thing as I am moving in a few days, but my tix will be sent to my billing address. I am uneasy about trusting the Post Office to forward them.

Thanks!

Wow, this is really awesome, it seems EVERYONE so far is very happy with their tickets. It also seems like they alloted a bigger proportion of GAs than last time, which is perfect because that's what most people want.

Hoepefully things will go well for non-Prop members tomorrow. They will have to compete with more people, but I think things are looking good.

Got Madison Square Garden and Staples Center...

Is it crazy now to start craving a European Road Trip???

I can't help but be a LOT bitter about this. I mean, congrats, I'm happy for you all. But we got hosed into the nosebleeds during the first presale - and paid more money for them. On top of that, we had Amsterdam tickets rejected due to my roommate and I being at the same address (thereby using both of our codes), AND to add insult to injury, the tickets I paid for to Croke Park were a hoax - and I lost $800 to some a-hole who stole from me.

I'm excited to be going, but I feel like I've been abused!

I wasn't even able to get online until 10:50am and I still was able to get 2 GAs for Atlanta in less than 30 seconds. It seems totally unreal. I sat there for 5 more minutes checking and rechecking the order history to make sure it was still there.

I feel the same way. I'm excited to be going to all of the shows I ended up getting tickets for in the first round but I'm a little irriated that I had to use my code for $185 nosebleed tickets and I can't participate in this presale this time around. I hope I'm able to get tickets during the public sales to the shows I want for the 3rd leg.

A very big round of applause for U2!!
It's good to read everything runs smoothly.
Although I'm a former Propmember, I won't visit the States this Fall. Catching a show in NCY doesn't match my schedule for work. I've got a break at the end of October....
Anyway, It's still good to hear some postive sounds.

This sux...I was a Prop member but they never found my records, so I ended up paying $40 for membership and getting nosebleeds for Boston II online and not being able to participate in this presale! If anyone can help with Boston/Hartford shows, please e-mail me at majid23 (at) gmail.com Thanks...

wooo hooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Piece of cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU LARRY!!! :larry:
You fufilled your promise and just solidified what we already know...that U2 IS THE GREATEST BAND ON THE PLANET!! If ever we had a doubt...which we didn't.

Someone please tell me of another band that would go to this extent to make their fans happy. I know of no one to literally go above and beyond here like they did. They certainly didn't have to go this far to fix the problem or even fix it. But they did .... and we  them for it.!

I got 2 GAs to Philly#1 and 2 GAs to DC#2!!

A few weeks ago, I sent several faxes to Principle Management complaining about the pre-sale and the general disaster it had been.

As someone who recognizes when things are being done right, I will send another fax tonight apologizing and thanking.

I would appreciate if everyone that vented with me for a reason did the same thing.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I was on the phone with Fanfire three separate times yesterday and the day before, over an hour each time, with promises that they would take my info and have a ticketing specialist contact me. I was a Prop member but they were never able to confirm it with their records so I got nothing except a pair of $185 tickets for Boston 2 on the first leg. I'm glad I'm getting to see them, but this is just depressing...

I personally didn't complain but I know a looooooot of people did (some with due reason, others not so much). Would definitely be nice if at least a GOOD portion of those people made their appreciation known to U2 and PM

EDITED to add:

MUCH THANKS TO U2 - Larry you kick ass!!!

But it does beg the question...if this is how its supposed to work...where is the criminal investigation into why most of the time these presales and general public sales do not work??

I am one of the lucky former Prop members who wasn't recognized until Sunday night with a call to Fanfire. They came through as promised and sent my code Monday. I was able to get section 103 reserved for Portland today. I am so thrilled after getting nosebleeds for Seattle the first go round.

Thank you to Larry and U2 for making this a redeeming experience. I am sorry for the other former Prop members who were unable to be recognized. I also pray that tomorrows pre-sale goes better than the first one.

I also want to thank the members of interference who posted the magic phone number that enabled me to participate in the prop presale today. THANK YOU!!
