I want to take photos but are cameras allowed In Sydney Telstra Stadium?

Hi Folk? I am not sure whether this is the right site for my query but since there are many photo buffs here, i thought perharps you might know.

Are cameras allowed into Sydney Telstra Stadium? I am not referring to the small compact kind but the conventional (DSLR) with big lens...

I really want to snap some cool shots for personal memories as this is my first U2 concert but I worried that I might be stopped at the door and prevented from going in...

Pls help....

No, you are not allowed. Smaller digital cameras are allowed (as are mobile phone cameras) but not the DSLR types.
 
Part of me hopes they don't allow cameras in. Over the last few years I've gotten a bit sick of seeing hundreds of cameras or camera phones jockying for position whenever a member of the band approaches, particularly in the elipse area. There will be hundreds of photos online anyway so I'd rather savour the moment that get snappy with my useless camera phone.
