I've been wondering about this - how does the total cost of the tour actually break down?

I don't know how much Elevation made - I remember it being over $100 million, but how much did the members themselves stand to make?

I'm more interested with this in relation to the Vertigo tour because of the cost of the screen they're using. How much of the total tour revenue is actually paid to cover venues, travel, transport, crew etc?

I read somewhere that it will take until September for the tour to break even.
What !
Thats nonsense
Merchandise and ticket sales are huge this time round.

Willie Williams said(VH1 special) the tour had a $50m production(indoor/outdoor stages?) which would have been cleared long before the end of Leg 1.

AFAIK, they were mostly paid upfront for the '97/'01/'05 tours with incentives for sellouts etc.

I am still in a state of shock that a programme was 15 pounds!

I thought it was going to be way more for the merchandise than it was, given how my U2 ventures of recent times have hardly been cheap.
