Now this song on now is a classic. The lyrics are amazing.

Hear the sound of music drifting in the aisles
Elevator prozac stretching on for miles
The music of the future will not entertain
It's only meant to repress and neutralise your brain

Now the sound of music comes in silver pills
Engineered to suit you building cheaper thrills
The music of rebellion makes you wanna rage
But it's made by millionaires who are nearly twice your age

Soul gets squeezed out, edges get blunt
Demographic gives what you want

One of the wonders of the world is going down, it's going down, I know
It's one of the blunders of the world that no-one cares, no-one cares enough

- The Sound Of Muzak, Porcupine Tree

Listen up, crappy talentless popstars!

For a millisecond, I had a bad U2 thought...

The rest of the lyrics are pretty great, however

Showtime fast approaches. It's only a matter of time now.

she might be napping :hmm:

she told me she got like 10 minutes of sleep last night :yikes:

Woah. Well, if she shows up, I shall refer to her as Queen !

Hey Axver I didn't post in your Birthday thread, but I wanted to say Happy Birthday to you!!

See you in Auckland!!

"The time will come when dream and day unite tonight
The only consolation causing him to fight"

Makes no sense in isolation, but I just love the way those two lines are sung. Incidentally, this is from Dream Theater's first album with Charlie Dominici on vocals. He's not as good as James LaBrie, who's sung for the band ever since, but he does a great job on this song, Only A Matter Of Time. It's currently my most played song on iTunes (or second to Recurring Dream by Crowded House; they're within a couple of plays of each other and it changes every time I check).

this'll be a hard act to follow :hmm:

If I can ever connect.

The stream's died for me and every time I reconnect, I just hear the end of Only A Matter Of Time.

Oh, wait, it works now! There's a lot of good acts around!
