Funny Amusing Stuff that you have seen in any GA line?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
You probably could in the parking lot. Could people leave the line to go eat, and then come back? Never haviang been in a gA line before I'm not really sure what the protocol is. Thats actually a pretty neat idea.

Sorry Carmelu2fan, we won't be there for the 20th show...

I've wondered why U2 fans don't tailgate??? I mean the whole cooking out setting up the big shindig thing? I've seen a couple tents and coolers, but not much else. Is it because the venues forbid it?

Oh no... well I am sure I will get by...I would love to see some BBQ's going on in the line too:yes:

There was a lot of tailgating going on in East Rutherford when I was there...people were BBQing and listening to U2 from about 2:30 on! It was a great atmosphere.

That sounds nice. I wish they did not forbid it here in the US:( I get hungry around 6 pm:sad:

The night of Boston 3 I was waiting to get in the building and a few people started to chant "Bo-no! Bo-no!" and this bum walks up to one of them and goes "It's not Bo-no, it's BONO! YOU RETARD!" and he slapped one of the guys in the back of the head.

Funny thing is, my friend went to Boston 2 and the day after the concert he told me about a bum that had slapped a guy for saying Bono's name wrong.

Ahhh...but you still woke us up as we were trying to lay down on the cement (we weren't in our cars) at 6am.

Maybe I was walking around trying to look at your hands.

well...it was more loudly stating that it was time for a line check...then talking loudly about 10 feet away from us to some guy about the line for 5 minutes until i asked you to quiet down because some of us hadn't slept. but no worries, we made it through the week anyways. just promise not to do it again ;)

SF, will you be running the line again for 10/19?

You probably guess that date. :shame:

Expecting to see some old faces in the GA line from the Elevation tour, that I have not seen so far on the Vertigo Tour.

Also, with 2 big lines for GA its going to be confusing to fit them on F and 6th street. One of the GA lines could block the restaurant and the main entrance to MCI and the other one could go maybe past the loading dock. I do not think MCI has alot of bicycle barricades but MCI and Mellon Arena shows will be clusterfuck shows with the GA line due to where the GA line starts and how much room there is to fit people on the sidewalk.

Last time on the Elevation tour 300 people where in line for GA at Noon for the second show.

Yeah, 10/19 is my first GA at MCI & I can imagine it's going to be quite a mess--which is why I hope there are some good, experienced folks handling it! One thing that's good about the area is that we can easily get some food from Jaleo....

Trust me 10/19 will not be a disaster and will be the best GA line of the tour!

Well Boston so far is the Best GA line shows for the whole tour so far.

Yay for Chizip and Miroslava on 5/7....

All credit goes to Chizip... all I did was yell at a few people along with giving this face

But thanks!

I'm experiencing my first GA in Vegas and wonder how they are going to position the lines, inside or outside......I am prepared for a fun time whether they do the morning wristband and orders to come back to line up at 5pm or not......meeting new friends, reading, playing cards, sleeping, taking turns holding spots in line....I'm ready.....ready for the GA line....I'm ready.....in 47 days!

Anyone else in here gonna be in Vegas GA?

Vegas GA will be the worst GA line set up of the tour. No lining up inside the casino and outside on the strip. Its going to be run for your lives in Vegas. I am going to have a practice General Admission run on a big show at both back to back Pearl Jam shows in Atlantic City . Especially with Borgata's rules of no camping out in the venue.

I think I might know you. I am assuming you were in Miami at the last Elevation show and at the last Boston show in May. I didn't camp out for MCI shows last time. I did however do Bruce. I am giving up Philly #1 to attend Foo Fighters this Sunday night at 9:30 Club. Can't miss a Foo club show over a arena U2 show. Had this dilemma back on May 14. Foo Fighters headlining HFStival or see U2 in Philly. Choose U2 over Foo HFStival headlining. This time exact opposite.:(
