Apparently not. Someone said they didn't get to the venue until 6:30PM.

The band got inside around 6.30PM, like you mentioned. They came with police ahead of them..and they did not stop...all the cars got inside in a matte rof seconds. Bono was on the first one, and took his head out of the window to wave goodbye. Edge was on car 2, but had no reaction. Same for Larry and Adam on the following cars.

I was at the concert. I was walking around the arena and saw a sign with the schedule posted behind the stage. For Sound Check, it listed NONE. So, I guess they had no reason to get there earlier.
