"Dancing Barefoot" at MSG, New York

One thing I love about U2 is their appetite for doing cover songs.

They take already great tunes and filter them through the "U2 Sound", making the songs better, imho.

I especially like their cover of Patti Smith's "Dancing Barefoot", which ended up as the B-side on the "When Love Comes To Town" single in 1989.

Download it if you haven't heard it yet, Adam's bass line sounds great.

Patti Smith is opening for U2 at the MSG shows in November.... maybe she'll come out during U2's set and sing "DB" with Bono?

Damn, I'm thinking about flying across the country just to witness those four minutes of magic.

Someone please tape those shows, I beg of thee.

Dancing Barefoot would be awesome since U2 covered it but Patti Smith and U2 on the same stage doing People Have The Power at the second encore after ABOY would be absolute perfection!!!
