Bestest Star Trek villian ever and Ricardo Montalban's chest.

have you heard the rumor that his chest was really a chestpiece? and was a latex appliance?

I don't know what to believe, it looks a bit cheesarific in some scenes

but Ricardo Montalban says it's real, and if Ricardo Montalban says it's real, it IS real

he will send Tattoo to come and stab you in your sleep if you disagree

I thought that episode was hilarious though...

I laughed my ass off, I love the Office

but the fact it was such blatant product placement made a bit angry afterwards

but the funnyness of the show cancels my anger out

So many good books out there. I've a whole suitcase full of an assortment of books to read. If there's one thing I love, it's a good book.

Yup. I love my books. I have a library card, but I rarely use it. I like having my own books around, and keeping them around if I like them. Half Price Books is my favorite store.

Wuthering Heights is book #60 that I've read this year. Usually I prefer contemporary fiction, and have a fondness for chick-lit type books, mainly because if I ever get around to writing my own book, that's the style I'm likely to tackle.

Someone texted me that they were doing wristbands at 9, so I jumped out of bed, got dressed, and ran over. As it turned out, they weren't, so I went back to my hotel and had breakfast, then went back around 11. I was so happy they let us wait inside! I'm glad I went up the night before, because I never would've gotten there that early otherwise.

I ended up on the rail, about five or six people from the side rail on Adam's side. My best GA spot yet! Where did you end up? I had friends who arrived around 7 and were about 15 people back on Edge's side.

I ended up on Edge's side about 10 people back. They denied me my camera too.

hi there from me too, setlist people:wave:
I really wanted to be at tonight's show, but couldn't get away because hubby is too busy to take care of kids and I couldn't afford to buy three tickets for us all (yeah, yeah, babysitters...don't have any set up)

it's brrrr cold here in the greatlakes region...must put a kink in those GA lines!
cheers!

From what I've read the chest was real. Poor Tattoo. :(

I read Mansfield Park last year (I think that was Jane Austen!)

I'm reading The Scarlet Letter now (Hawthorne) I really didn't think I'd like it since it's for school but I do

I have too many books at my apartment. It's crazy. Half of them I haven't read yet. :|

I have a stack to read still. I buy them in droves and then read them whilst buying more.

Heh, me too! My M.O. right now is to go shelf by shelf, reading a book I haven't read yet from that shelf before pulling something from the next shelf.

After finishing WH, my choices from the next shelf are Peter Carey's Oscar and Lucinda, Michael Chabon's Summerland, Bill Carter's Fools Rush In, a nonfiction book about being a guard in a prison called Newjack, and Don DeLillo's Underworld ... although that one's so thick, it'll probably languish on my shelves for another few years.

losing to Coldplay? well that's just wrong:eyebrow:

that's what happens when they let the musically handicapped/teenyboppers vote

O! another product placement moment

on Vegas, Josh Duhamel's character had a Coldplay song on as his phone's ringtone, and it played, followed by the exchange I'm paraphrasing:

"Hey Danny, is that Coldplay?"
"Yeah, it's from their new album, it's really good"

next commercial:

"Coldplay X&Y, nominated for __ Grammys! In stores now"

Oh I know, RavenBlue! It was the suckiest suck that ever sucked. I wanted to throw the camera at his head but I have a feeling I wouldn't be anywhere in the building if that happened.

The arena staff cracked me up. When I first got there, a guy looked in my purse long enough to see a tampon, then let me get in line. At first, they were saying anyone who left the line for any reason would have to go to the back--no bathroom, no little walks to stretch, nothing. They were escorting people to the bathroom in groups of four. It was like they were scared we were all going to go nuts and destroy the entire building, so they were being ridiculously strict. By the end of the day, they realized we were harmless and let us move around. I got a camera in but decided to just enjoy the show and not worry about taking pictures.

Security inside was very good. The security guard near me was really nice, but he did his job well, too. Someone passed out and had to be carried out, and someone apparently got hurt in the ellipse during Pride (I didn't see what happened--only the commotion after it). They also broke up a few scuffles before anything got out of hand.
