The Fly
I'm planning on traveling at least one out-of-town show during the fall leg, and right now the plan is Vegas (night 2).
After having attended several shows during the first leg, I was reminded once again of what a difference the crowd can make, and am wondering what Vegas will be like.
So, my question is: what do people expect of the Vegas shows? On the one hand, I am concerned that there will be a lot of people there who have received free tix from the casinos/ hotels, and think to themselves "U2? I've heard of them. We have nothing better to do - why not sit through at least part of their show?" (I've been to a couple of shows in Vegas where that was the case, and being surrounded by people who really didn't give a crap about what they were seeing definitely put a damper on things).
On the other hand, there seem to be a lot of interferencers who are planning on making it to Vegas, so perhaps there will be many die-hards who plan to make Vegas their out-of-town show (or one of them), in which case it could be (at least partially) a great crowd. Does this in fact seem to be the case?
