U2 should do this... Screw the snow and coldness... They're Irish, they can do it.

First, the indoor arena management would sue...especially if contracts have been signed with the band. It may seem like a simple matter to go to Gillette Stadium instead of the TD BankNorth Garden, but legally it's not. Besides, you've got the NFL season to contend with. Indeed, these indoor arenas are like the small clubs U2 used to play in the early 1980s. Frankly I'm happy to see them in an environmentally-controlled indoor arena rather than 'miles away' as fans will surely be at these football stadiums in Europe.

You won't get the fantastic stage we get though... LOL :lmao:

No more than 2 dates in Each city....
They wouldnt revist places either on the same leg, if it was a stadium tour, well you wouldnt think so.

Yeah I don't understand why we don't get Stadium Shows. They'd sell out just as much as the other shows. It would be great :drool:

No, they would not sell... face it, more than half of the people on each show (in one city) was the same each night...

Arena=15.000-20.000
Stadium=40.000-100.000

VertigoTour:
1st leg in U.S. - 539.800 people
2nd leg Europe - 1.957.200 people (almost as much as the whole Elevation Tour)

Yea, U2 is not going to do 3 legs in the US before going to south america and asia pac again... Not sure about playing an outdoor concert in Dec too.

Besides, you americans don't allow GA in stadiums do you??? And all-seater gigs really are BORING!!! (just my humble opinion)

You just have to wait for the Europe DVD :madspit: :wink:

Good question, I am not sure?

I hope they don't screw up the European DVD like the Slane DVD was in a few places.

Foxboro, Buffalo, and Cleveland in Dec? Are you freaking nuts? Two years ago in December people had to shovel their seats out of 2 feet of snow at Gillette for the Pats/Dolphins game. Some people never made it to the game because Rt. 1 was barely passable. People talk about how Bono's voice isn't the same, this would probably kill it once and for all.

thanks for the reality check...

as cool as it would be...

Dec 10 in Browns Stadium would not be very pleasant. Done it in January for a playoff game at the old stadium - not recommended. Gimme the nice, warm Gund.

I would love to see them in a stadium again. Not to be realistic .... but I think most states have laws against GA stadium shows. That's why they can't do them. And except for the floor and 1st level the sound was terrible at the Linc for Bruce. Really terrible. Although I would LOVE to see this catwalk they have for the European shows, and the set to be played on it. Reminds me of Zoo TV and Zooropa. I'd brave the snow for that.
