are you people all nuts? the fly was horrific. fine... edge's guitar was good. edge's guitar is always good. bono forgot half the words, and the words hte did remember were in some lower, strange octave.

they need to either fix it or drop it. it was an absolute clusterfuck.

I was listening to the San Diego version of The Fly, and have to say the the few ideas guitar bits that Edge had in the song from the intro, middle parts, and solo have somewhat renewed my faith in the Edge a little bit. I won't deny that HTDAAB is a little disappointing guitar wise for me but what I heard in the new version of The Fly makes me scratch my head wondering why some of those ideas and sounds weren't used but instead they focused a lot on pre-Unforgettable Fire sounds and standard rock riffs and guitar sounds (ABOY, Vertigo, A Man and a Woman).
