Any tips on meeting the band tomorrow night in Buffalo would be appreciated.

I waited outside in the rain for three hours thinking they would come for soundcheck in Pittsburgh. Finally, I left at 5:15pm, when security said U2's plane hadn't even landed.

After that I heard the band hasn't been doing soundchecks on the third leg of the tour.

Have people been able to meet the band before the shows lately? If so, about what time?

Tomorrow is a high of like 31 degrees and snow. I wonder if that will keep the band from wanting to hang around outside.

They hadn't been doing many soundchecks by the Vegas shows. We wanted to meet them in Vegas, but we were told that they were in LA and they weren't due in to Vegas till 6pm.

If they don't show up between 2-5pm for soundcheck, there isn't going to be one. Or befriend any of the U2 staff and they can tell you what the schedule is for that day or show....they are very nice.

Oh and good luck. Bundle up!

Dude, we lucked out, we were bored before they opened the doors so we decided to walk around the arena about 5:50pm. We wandered up to this small group of like 20 people waiting outside the loading dock/receiving area and asked a couple what they were doing there. They said as far as they knew Bono and the boy's hadn't arrived yet and they were waiting for a possible close encounter. Some of them were standing there since 2pm. About 5 minutes after we got there a NYS police car turned the corner with a black Suburban following it, Bono was in the front seat. When they entered the gate, they hesitated for a sec and I guess Bono decided on his own to come out and say hello, shake some hands, and sign some autographs. He kept saying that his voice was raspy. It was a very magnanimous act on his part to take 5 minutes out of his busy and demanding day to give a few of his fans his time and attention. Anyway, you can go HERE and see some of the pictures I took of the incident.

Well, I tried to link to the pictures I uploaded here and got this silly message...

...so I guess you'll have to find the pictures I posted on your own. What a silly policy.

That's odd...because according to u2tours.com, U2's flight from Boston was delayed three hours and they wouldn't arrive in Buffalo until 7:30

I even overheard a guy in the GA line mention that their flight was delayed...

Bono was there but the rest of the band never made it to the arena till 7 pm. We were at the Cobblestone bar and watched for the police escorts.

i was in the GA line inside and we heard them sound checking between 4-5pm.

It was actual road crew having fun (Love and Peace, etc.)--not the band soundchecking. U2.com confirms the flight delay. The band was not there until around 8 o'clock.
