what's the end sounding like these days?
or the song in general for that matter?
is there anything notewaorthy about it? the crowd singing back? some hallelujah? does it segue the way it once did?
I was always partial to the "hallelujah"s at the end when they played it during the Zoo TV tour

just curious.
thanks!

You should grab one of the downloads in other threads. It sounds pretty good to me. The hallelujah's are there but they are much subdued. I am much partial to the zoo tv version as well but it still comes off great in my opinion.

I liked the older Zoo version much better , it gave me goosebums. Now it just fades into the Declaration of Human Rights.

Bullet is much more quiet too imo, to my regret, but I hope they'll change it back into the more furious version when they come to Europe, no point here in making references to "Johnny comes marching home", at least not in Belgium.

I'd like to see those hallelujahs make a comeback on this tour but the song is pretty awesome anyway.

PSA to the male interferencers: if you'd like to hit on me during a U2 show, let's review some common sense basics:

- Do not ask me where I'm from during RTSS.

- Do not ask me what record RTSS is on during RTSS.

- Do not invite me to your band's show during RTSS.

- Do not speak to me at all during RTSS.

Thank you.

I think this version is subpar--first, I prefer Edge on Guitar to piano on RTSS--The version they are currently doing (as mentioned) has a rather subdued feeling to it--which I do not like. The hallelujahs end the song in a whisper rather than bring it to a crescendo (as in past versions). It never really gets going, and then sputters to a stop-weird IMO. When I first saw this in the setlist, I was so pumped (in my top 10 U2 songs ever), but IMO it is not worth playing it they way they are doing it.

PSA's continued....

- If you must bring your mother and her failing knees to U2 GA, and if you must argue about how early you should leave the show because of said bad knees, don't do that next to me during RTSS.

- If you must pass out at a U2 concert please don't do that next to me during RTSS. (And I hope that person is okay.)

Thank you.

(Anybody else want to ruin this song for me at another show? )
