This morning local papers reported from Ticketek sources record sales for U2's second date in Buenos Aires (March 2nd): 38,000 on the first day. This beats the 26,000 mark on the initial day for the first date last week and Rolling Stones first day record for their February gigs in Argentina: 19,000. Impressive.
A third date is on its way. :hyper:

really? that would be awesome!

That is what local papers reported as being stated by local organisers. Yesterday Clarin (Argentina's main paper) reported local organiser Daniel Grinbank as saying that as from Jan 9th (end of seasonal vacation for U2 management) they would start conversations for a third Buenos Aires date. He also is reported as saying that there are good chances to get this date as the South American leg of the Vertigo Tour ends precisely in Buenos Aires and there is a two week gap before the next date in New Zealand. Let's cross our fingers.

Not to me, but the Rolling Stones were the record selling act down here - the only ones to sell out five stadium dates in a row in 1995. However I'm certain that if five U2 dates were to be available now they would also sell out - in a shorter time.
