Dear U2:

Please advise dates of Australian leg of world tour so that I can organise to empty my bank account into your bank account.

Fanx,

Tania

Gee, you want to laugh but then you realise, it's all true :sigh:

You'd think U2 could turn themselves into a registered charity, so I could claim the moolah I've spent on them back on my tax.:madspit:

Just for fun, what would be your top 5 songs that you would want to hear when they come to Australia and New Zealand? I wouldn't care if they didn't play any of them, to see U2 live again would be a thrill in itself. My favourite song is Red hill mining town but it's never been played live, so this is my list:

1 - DIRTY DAY
2 - A SORT OF HOMECOMING
3 - HOLD ME, THRILL ME...
4 - ONE TREE HILL
5 - LAST NIGHT ON EARTH

Just songs U2 have played before:
1. 11 O'clock Tick Tock
2. One Tree Hill
3. God Part II
4. Gone
5. The Unforgettable Fire

1. Ultra Violet
2. Unfire
3. One Tree Hill
4. Miss Sarajevo
5. Zoo Station/The Fly

I was in the car for 15 minutes and heard All Because of You and Bewdiful Day!

:hmm:

Me thinks the Force is at work, young Skywalker...

Just like ZooTV.

Any Dirty Day is better than no Dirty Day... Did U2 ever get the petition? :hmm:

#81, Bono:

"It will never be played. Get over it, wanker!"

Such a poet :cute:

---
#130, Adam Clayton:

"I will make sure that this song gets played. Goddamn wankers!"

Edge and Larry still pending, I believe :hmm:

1. Acrobat (we all know it will never happen)
2. Streets (I cannot imagine the emotion of hearing this song live for the first time - I get goosebumps just listening to it)
3. Promenade -> 4th July -> Bad (Might get a third of this )
4. Electrical Storm
5. Walk On(Full Band) or When I Look At The World

Personally, they could play Vertigo X20 for all I care and I'd be satisfied

I cannot believe that this is happening!!! :)

Have to hear these songs live just once:
1. OOTS
2. Electrical Storm
3. The Unforgettable Fire
4. Bad
5. Wild Horses

Axver, U2-vertigo-tour.com has the New Zealand dates down...have those been confirmed?

If so...:applaud: YAY!

Well, my co-maintainer feels sufficiently confident in the dates to put them on the site. He did the same with first, second, and third leg dates that came true, so ...

Call me blind, but I don't recall seeing the second Auckland date (the non-St Patricks day one) being specifically mentioned anywhere. :blind:

Uh ... I did read it somewhere. Ah, here we go, the guy I work with on U2VT forwarded an e-mail to me from a newsgroup or mailing list or something, a post by the guy who I believe runs U2NewZooland, and it says this:

Just a few hours ago, I heard that U2 were booked in at Western Springs
stadium (an OUTDOOR venue, and the same venue where the Zoo TV concert
in 1993 was held), for the 16th March 2006... for one show only.

In the e-mail, this is then followed by the O'Herlihy quote we know that says there's actually two shows.
