oh, I thought we could use the Prop code for more than just 2 tkts, I used it on Staples Nov. date. I emailed ETS if they are going to offer it, because Sat. is going to be Zoo Station.

Here's a map of the arena

I would Imagine blocks A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H would all be standing room for this show. I also called the venue, the lady said: "I don't think there is going to be a Genaral Admission" I doubt she knows anything about how U2 shows work. I forgot to ask about the wristbands. If anybody has info about the wristbands I would apreciate it. I don't want to make an ass out of myself and call again.

I thought we were limited to one show, two tickets as part of the prop pre-sale for the fall tour. I used that code to buy a pair for staples in Nov. WHen the oakland dates opened up, i received an email from fanfire saying that my code was re-enabled for the oakland shows. The gist of the email was that all prop members who had used their code to buy tix in the fall could buy again for the oakland show. I decided to pull the trigger. why not? I wish i waited for the vegas tour.

I'm not sure about these pre-sale things. Do you have to be a paid-up suscriber to get in on these? Or will a free U2.com membership work? Thanks.

The Grand Garden Arena will be handing out wristbands from 6am to 9am on saturday (I'm sure they'll be out of them in a couple of minutes). The lady on the phone told me that they will be handed out at the Grand Garden Ticket counter located in the MGM Studiowalk. I've been in there a million times, but don't recall any ticket counter. She said it's located near Diego and 'Wichcraft, which are just past the monorail station. See you there.

That's alot of help, thanks. But I'm full of questions. (last one, I promise.) If we do get a wristband, that guarantees us a ticket correct? But the question is, if i do get a wristband when and where do I buy my ticket? Thanks again, and I apologize for my excessive question asking.

This is how these wristbands have worked in the past, but I am not MGM, and do not know if they run their box office differently, but this is what I've experienced: the wristbands are numbered (say 1-100) and you get one say #50. They pick a number, let's say #45. #45 is then given the first place in line followed by 46,47,etc. Basically #44 is going to have the last place in line and #50 is going to be the 5th place. So it guarantees you a place in line, but you won't know where until they draw the number. Since this show is going to sell out in very short order I would think that if you're not in the first 50people or so your not going to get tickets. That's why it helps to bring a friend so you have 2 numbers. I havn't had to buy tickets like this in many years, so perhaps it's different now. I don't know if a shitload of people even show up at box offices anymore since most tickets are sold online now. And I don't know if they have a special allotment at the box office that is not released thru ticketmaster. I would just have someone try and buy online for you at the same time you go down to MGM and buy as many tickets as you can and sell the leftovers to fans who aren't as lucky as you, and would otherwise be gouged by scalpers. See you there.

Shouldn't we have received an email about the prop presale or unused password presale from U2.com by now? Anyone receive any official word from u2.com yet?

Yes, the tickets that the MGM box office has are completely different from TM. The box office mgr. there has told me that many times, and indeed what I have bought there wasn't ever up on TM. If you want the best, you go there in person. They told me as far as seats, TM has certain sections, and the MGM box office has other sections for sale. You can call them too on the onsale date and book tkts, but that in the past has been a big silly fiasco because it's just busy the whole time. I bought Billboards tkts from TM, and then called up the MGM box office, and the box office had totally better tkts, with no TM fees, you just get them at Will Call. I sold the TM tkts on Ebay. Call them up and ask for the box office mgr. to get the details on lineups, etc. They told me for the Billboards they camp out overnight, which there of course is no reason someone can't, its always open. But with wrist band #'s that hardly matters, I'd go at 6 am, get one and then come back when they are doing the sale. You'll also be there for when they put up the Sat. nite tkts, and you can be sure U2 is playing Sat. nite there as well.

I'm praying for GA's from ticketmaster, I'll be on the phone and the internet at the same time. Since nobody can drive me down to Vegas, this is my only option. What are everybody else's plans?

Just got this email;
"The presale for the U2 shows on November 4th and November 5th in Las Vegas begins tomorrow, Tuesday April 5th and runs until Thursday April 7th."

NOV 5th!!! Why have we not seen this anywhere, yet?!?!?!

who has a code they can use, probably none of us. we've all used it. If I had known there was a Vegas I would have saved my code probably.

Is their Prop onsale tomorrow at 10 am going to be one guy who never used his code getting 2 tkts?

and yes Sat. trying for GA's, but will take anything that shows up, because I'm sick of ticket brokers and scalpers, and for Vegas shows they double their prices.

I checked circus circus and they're over $100 for that weekend. On other weekends they're at 85. So i guess vegas is much higher on the weekends and even
higher for the weekend U2 will be there

Hotel rates are much higher on weekends than on weekdays in Vegas

I have alredy booked at Treasure Island. It is the cheapest of the 4-star and above hotels for that weekend. I just booked last night for $199 a night.

I actually have an unused Prop code that I was holding out on as I was gambling on Vegas popping up. I am so glad I held onto it. I am going to use that tomorrow. I hope the tix that Ticketmaster has are good, despite what I have read about MGM holding back the best. I will post my findings tomorrow when I get my tix.

Just got this from U2.com:

With the Vertigo//2005 Tour now underway, some shows for the Fall leg,
have still to go onsale. This week there is a presale for two shows at
the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in November.

If you have not yet used your unique presale code to buy tickets for
the
Tour you can use your code to buy a pair of tickets for each of these
two shows.

If you are a Propaganda subscriber who has already bought two tickets
with your presale code for the tour, you can buy TWO tickets for ONE of
these shows.

Looks like they are once again taking care of the Prop members. I have already used my Prop presale code for another show. Now it sounds like I got to purchase two more for Vegas!

damn you propaganda members!!!!!!! :madspit:

i guess if you whine & bitch about presales, you get it your way huh?

ALL I WANT IS A PAIR OF GODDAMN MUTHAF*CKEN GA's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*and yeah... im jealous of you all getting a headstart*

*So if you already got 2 pair of tickets for this tour (one for 1st leg and one for 3rd leg) can you get another pair for VEGAS?

*How big or small is the MGM grand. It looks much smaller than most venues. If so, that's awesome!

I mean I wish there were more seats for a better chance, but if I'm lucky enough to get tickets, I'd rarther have the smallest venue possible.

Anyone know the capacity or have you seen a show there?

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I actually have an MGM connection for Vegas - and my guy is actually in charge of the wristbands and will be overseeing the line on Saturday so he doesn't think he'll be able to buy me tix  But he will likely be doing security for the shows so I may still have a hookup if I can get there........

:banghead:

I'm planning to go down to the box office to buy my tickets.
I still don't really get the whole wristband thing. So we get there at 6 am, they give us wristbands and then we can walk around the casino or do whatever until they pull out a random number and everyone lines up?
Also, would there be very many people at the actual MGM box office? I wouldn't think so, but I guess we'll see!
And what's the deal about the Nov 5th show? Are they going on sale the same day as the Nov 4th tickets or on a different date?
Darnit, I wish I would have saved my presale code.

I'm in the same boat clerks is in. Bought tix for the 1st leg. Got a pair for the 3rd leg thanks to being a prop. member and now another pair for the Vegas shows? is that right? Also can't they just let me buy one tix for each show???? I don't care where they are as long as I get a ticket for each night!! Is that asking for much? Not complaining but I wish that option was open.

you know what's cheaper and it's right on the monorail, Paris Hotel and Ballys, but hurry they won't stay that reasonable for long.

if you used a presale code for the first leg then you could only buy tickets to one more show through prop...

if you didnt use any code for the first leg, then if you had a prop code you could buy tix for 2 shows

it sounds like since you did buy tickets the first time, that youd only get to buy tickets for one show the second time
