The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

ARGH... I wanna go. I was in Vegas and LA in July...My convention was RIGHT next door to Staples and ALL I could think of was that March night!!!!

I seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You have to keep checking.....between myself and my group of friends we have managed to the side of or behind the stage tickets even recently for $63, $61, face, $79, $69 and $90. Trust me.....no reason to be paying scalpers prices. Tickets are out there.

I hope this is legal and I dont get in trouble for mentioning it but you can check tickettrader.com thats where we bought our tickets. We're coming from New Jersey and got 5 together..actually our room rates were average too..were staying right in the MGMGrand I forget how much we paid but it was reasonable

cool..were getting in Friday night about the same time the show gets over..we should have a little get together either before Saturdays show or after Fridays

The MGM is going to be absolutely INSANE! I've stayed there before and I don't think I would again. You will probably be waiting in long lines just to get off the property!

We're staying at the Venetian because we are spoiled princesses! we got a suite and there are 5 of us so it works out really well. Wish we had the sense to wait for tickets to open up cos we paid close to $300 each... oy

Last time I was in Vegas we met some adorable boyz who were there for a bachelor party (who isn't) anywho they were staying at The Boardwalk hotel... now its not glamourous but they said it was clean and its pretty centrally located

won't be at the interference party but will surely recognize some of you at the show... once I finish my vegas "u2 bling" shirt I'll let you know how to find me :)

wait a second, how do you use your casino card to get those rates? Do you just call them up?

and yes I got Sat. tkts on Ebay for just slightly over face value, for L, lower levels right next to the stage. You have to go to Ebay constantly, and always check the "buy it now" first so you don't get into a bidding war. I also just got front row tkts on there for another artist I like for half of what brokers were charging, and half of what other people had just worn themselves out "bidding" for, because always look for "buy it now" first.

and there are some 15 cent tkts on there right now, that was funny, that's the opening bid.

The area around the Orleans hotel is ok, its an RV type crowd, a Circus Circus type crowd, and I wouldn't necessarily be walking down those blocks at night, driving would be fine, and in it is fine. Palms isn't too far from there either, its also back down from the strip. Just a few days ago Circus Circus had good rates, its like usually RV's, and millions of kids, but I doubt any of us will much be in our rooms. I'm at Ballys.

but don't forget too, the San Remo (soon to be The Hooters Hotel) is directly across the street, you just walk half a block to the overhead walkway from the Tropicana and you're in the MGM, and it has great rates, and its not a bad place at all. I am assuming its open next week and not closed yet to be remodeled for a Hooters.

The Venetian is so wonderful because not only is it pretty, but every room is a suite. Rio as well, people love, because they're suites. And at the Venetian you get to go to Madame Taussud's and drape yourself around Bono's wax figure.

OMG I got my bling U2 shirt in the mail today! I cannot wait to wear it! And I found out my the free VIP GA ticket I am being given is for Sat. night! OMG I am shaking, I am so excited!

OK I am slowly coming back to the land of the living and I gotta post to say to all those who warned me or made comments about the Imperial Palace hotel, you were all right! The place SUCKED! The employees were rude and gave conflicting info.....the place is old and smokey. I would NOT recommend it. The casino is a rip off and stole my money and the buffets were not good. Made two of us sick. But we DID get away with having 5 people in our room which worked out well. And the location center strip was an excellent choice.

So I hear that the hotel is going to be blown up and a new one built......and the Harrahs and IP properties are owned by the same Corp. so perhaps they will then build one huge property to match all the others......but for the time being I will warn anyone thinking of staying there NOT TO!

Otherwise it was the most incredible weekend of my entire life and I will NEVER forget it. Things that happened in Vegas will for SURE stay there.

How was the party at McMullans, I almost made a last minute trip on Friday night, but as I stumbled through the casino I knew I was done for the night. Please share.
