U2 tickets on sale Saturday


Clear off your Saturday schedule to be the first to pick up U2 tickets beginning at 9 a.m., for the band's April 8 Aloha Stadium concert. Reserved tickets will be priced at $95 and $165, with general admission floor tickets going for $49.50. All tickets are subject to service fees.

Tickets will be available at the stadium box office and Ticketmaster retail outlets, including the Blaisdell Center box office, Times Supermarkets, the Brigham Young-Laie Student Activity Center and Mokihana Travel in Lihue, Kauai. You can also charge by calling 877-750-4400, or go online at ticketmaster.com.

Ticket demand has been so overwhelming for the U2 Vertigo Tour that most seats for the 110-show world tour were sold before the tour began last March. The band will be flying to Honolulu from Australia, and the concert here will also feature opening band Rocko & the Devils*.

U2's latest album, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb," is up for five Grammys.

This is what is says on TM now:

There is a 4 ticket limit per household for both the Fan Club Member Presale and the Public on sale.

which I think is different from what I read before

That sounds like the plan, but didn't say whether or not how a lineup for the show would be handled."

Wish I could afford a quick flight over to buy tix right there!

I really wonder, though, how many people are they expecting from Oahu to BE THERE to buy tickets? I would think the majority of the ticket sales for this Hawaii show would be internet and Ticketmaster outlets. Maybe we'll be in for a surprise!

Vertigo 06 For Santiago and Honolulu

U2 will head to Chile next month and then to Hawai in April. These are the latest dates to be announced for Vertigo '06 and tickets for both shows go on sale later this week.

The band will play at the Nacional Stadium in Santiago on February 26th with tickets going onsale this Wednesday.

And they will play the Aloha Stadium, in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 8th with tickets on sale from this Saturday.

As soon as we have prices and ticket-sale links for these shows we'll bring them to you.

This will be the first time the band have played in Chile since February 1998 and the PopMart Tour. And it is twenty years since the band last played Hawai, on The Unforgettable Fire Tour way back in March 1985.

I think this show will sellout as I read on another website from a Hawaiian fan that they don't get too many huge acts so they might be starving for this kind of event. U2 week in Honolulu is HUGE!!!

They have to be scalpers. It's not like they bought the tickets, something happened, and now they can't go so they are trying to sell them.

The only reason to buy tickets and put them on ebay right away is to make money.

Yeah, the hotel room expense sucks but I'm paying $86 bucks Canadian which I think is pretty cheap plus my hotel bar has a cheapie Happy Hour everyday from 4-7,
