Third and Fourth Leg set lists without Streets, Pride and One.

Even though Streets, Pride and One were absolutely great when I watched U2 play them live those are songs that have been played constantly every tour since they were released and it seems to me that many fans feel like they are no longer as great as they once were and have lost their spark live and therefore should be retired for some time. I don't fully agree with that but I wouldn't mind if U2 didn't played them for a couple of legs (North America and Europe) since they already played them so much. It would give space for other songs and I like the idea of letting those songs "rest" a bit. So try to make a set list that you would like to see the band play in the next two legs without those three songs.

A very serious and political opening that I think would have a great impact in the crowd. Vertigo right after SYCMIONYO would be cool because people would be surprised and it's the perfect moment ro brake the seriousness to start a more fun moment. Starting the encore with COBL and BD would feel like a great and very special restart in my opinion. Ending the show with the Fly is a nice idea I think, the song has a great and very aggressive ending plus the line "Listen I gotta go, I'm running out of change..." would fit the moment nice.

yeah, those are 3 of the biggest hits, but how many shows have U2 dropped With or Without You, I Still Haven't..., or New Year's Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday, The Fly, All I Want is You, Desire, Discotheque, and still had enough hits? The catalogue is that big......

I could live without One. I would LOVE if they lost Pride, but I don't think I could live without hearing Streets. Even if it's a little disappointing this tour, it's still THE live U2 song.

But I'd gladly give up Pride to hear Crumbs.

As many have said before, U2 know that people will be going to their shows for the first time and will want to hear the likes of One, Streets and Pride.

I can perhaps see them giving Pride a rest, but Bono has said of Streets "no matter how bad a show we are having, God walks into the room for that song every single night". With that in mind they may not want to drop it. BUT, that said, they did say that they were originally planning to do the show with no Streets so I suppose anything is possible.

Sorry...but some of your openers arent very good. Electrical Storm? Hands that Built & Crumbs over Streets & One? I dont think so. Dropping Pride could and should be done. One and Streets however, they are classics and would both be missed (at least by me!)

Maybe if U2 did what the Stones did on the last tour (playing some clubs in the middle of stadiums & arenas) and playing some rarities in those gigs it would work.

You need to remember the majority of fans who go to see these shows are casual fans. Playing songs like Electric Co and Zoo Station and Into the Heart/An Cat Dubh should be enough for us! T
hey are really trying to satisfy EVERYONE...trainspotters like us and casual fans. I think they are doing a grand job too.
