I'll post (if I'm alowed) 1 setlist per day about this VERTIGO TOUR and you will coment, ok?

//: you know, the songs MELTING together

1-8: A ZooTV kind of start, 8 songs in a row from the same album

7: One Step Closer, done acousticly by Bono or Edge (ala Unchained Melody). It follows SYCMIOYO because is also related to his father. Also the last line could be extended and combined with the LAPOE intro, either just by voice or the same bombs that combined UM with UTEOTW. IT'S NOT THE WHOLE SONG, BTW.
Also, Imagine BONO in one B-Stage, the images in the screen, and Larry walking towards his drum on the other B-Stage

9-11: it just WORKS

12//13: In the Superbowl it worked just fine. I also thought that the Human right video could be just visuals, like the 9/11 names, and MLK (live) playing as a background

14: After WTSHNN so the MLK video could be added

16: It screams LAST SONG for me... in any set.

DGPFYCC Trumphets intro + Zooropa Baby Opera//DIrty Day: you know what that intro is.
Now, remember how the trumphets end. Now, remember the Dirty Day intro. The // makes the trumphets extend a little longer and becoming the DD intro, for Larry and Edge to start.

17//18: "It won't last kissin'..." At that EXACT moment, Edge starts the guitar intro, while Bono sing a long "time" until the riff finishes.

18//19: The Fly finishes, but the guitar goes on, The Edge finishes with an E, and slowly slides into a G for tha opening of WGRYWild Horses. Wild Horses goes on, with an Edge solo and finishes the encore, just like in Boston

20: A nice slow song to begin the finale. Besides, the first encore is so melted, that it looks like 1 big song, so this one is to resta little bit.

21: Bad starts and EVERYONE ( :winks: ) think it's the end... but no...

21//22: While Bono sing "How long" and the crowd follows, the intro to Electrical Storms begins on the PA. It's just changing Streets with ES.
"how long.... to sing this song.... how long.... The Sea it swells, like a sore head"

22: This song has a killer ending, that if done well could be a epic one. In stadiums, they could even throw fireworks. And Bono could change the lyrics from "Baby don't cry" to "Thank you goodnight"

Ok: now discuss.. your favorite points, what could be and what couldn't... talk. I'll be back tomorrow with a new set list

Nice!

I like Yahweh as the fourth song, would be very interesting. But I would have Crumbs after Pride and One to end the first part. Dirty Day is too slow to start the encore, I would switch it with The Electric Co. or Zoo Station, maybe take away MLK so you have one more song left and make the encore like this: Zoo Station, The Fly, Until The End Of The World, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses. Oh hell I'll just make it myself: :D

01 - City Of Blinding Lights
02 - Vertigo
03 - All Because Of You
04 - Yahweh (full)
05 - Miracle Drug
06 - Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
07 - One Step Closer
08 - Love And Peace Or Else
09 - Sunday Bloody Sunday//
10 - Bullet The Blue Sky//
11 - Running To Stand Still
-------Human Rights Video--------
12 - Where The Streets Have No Name
13 - Pride (In The Name Of Love)
14 - One
15 - Crumbs From Your Table
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
DGPFYCC Trumphets intro + Zooropa Baby Opera//
16 - Zoo Station or The Electric Co.
17 - The Fly
18 - Until The End Of The World//
19 - Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
20 - Original Of The Species
21 - Bad/40//
22 - Electrical Storm (extended frantic ending with the band going crazy!)

Sounds interesting. The only thing I don't like is the essential reversing of what we have now. The bunching of all of HTDAAB at the beggining instead of all at the end & the middle. I like to see the music intergrated a bit more - but thats just personaly preference.

You're inclusion of Dirty Day however, is sublime.

Just my little idea for one of you're later setlists..... LAPOE -> SBS -> Bullet -> Walk On -> Running. The very immediate intro to Walk On would work well with the SBS beat into it, as would the piano runs at the end into Running To Stand Still. And again... it ties together a nice range of there work all together.

Hey Pepo. Some very nice ideas you have. I like the concept of doing all new songs at the beginning. I've always thought a new album should be heavily introduced at the beginning of the show and then do classics later on with some intregating.

Here is something I would do in similar light as you -

Vertigo following COBL I have never liked. Period. I'd rather open the show with Love and Peace or Else, or if you are opening with COBL, look at the set later in the thread. I'll do two - one with LAPOE and one with COBL opening.

01 - Love and Peace or Else
02 - Vertigo
03 - All Because Of You
04 - Yahweh (full)
05 - Miracle Drug
06 - Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
07 - One Step Closer
08 - City of Blinding Lights
09 - Sunday Bloody Sunday//
10 - Bullet The Blue Sky//
11 - Running To Stand Still
-------Human Rights Video--------
12 - MLK//
13 - Where The Streets Have No Name
14 - Pride (In The Name Of Love)
15 - One
16 - Crumbs From Your Table
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
DGPFYCC Trumpets intro + Zooropa Baby Opera//
17 - The Fly
18 - Dirty Day
19 - Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
20 - Love is Blindness
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
21 - Electrical Storm
22 - Original of the Species
23 - Bad-40

I think this might be my best. REALLY rocking beginning there! Again Yahweh and the others fit great there. I loved when U2 did that in Zoo TV opening with most of their new songs. It shows people that the album is so good they don't have to relay on hits at the beginning to keep them going.

One Step Closer would end with Bono adding a little harmonica solo like he did at the end of Running To Stand Still in Zoo TV. As the intro to Streets starts we would see and hear newsflashes about Africa and more images about poverty and Misery around the world. A great way to start a song like Streets.

Ending the first part of the show with One and Crumbs. A great moment for Bono's One campaign.

The Encore would start with a video about madness. Some radio sounds of people lost and asking for some help. Weird noises and some static images. A little ominous and aggressive at moments. All of the sudden the band starts to play The Electric Co. without The Cry intro, it sounds much better without it if it's going to follow a video, the intro would brake the feel that was built. The Fly would follow it, then Until The End Of The World and Gone would end the first encore.

Starting the second encore with City Of Blinding Lights would be great I think, with Edge's beautiful slide intro that he came up for this tour and then the keyboards and all. Having Beautiful Day at the end is something I always wanted. They did it once at the end of a show in the Elevation Tour and it was a real surprise for the audience.

With Or Without You could be replaced by The Electrical Storm at other shows. Bad ends the show with a snippet of 40 at the end to make it all even better. Perfection. So what do you all think? :D
