They came out of the same song, so there's a lot of similar riffage between them.

I say big kudos to U2 for continually re-envisioning The Fly.
When the Edge's intro stopped and echoed off, putting Larry's funky dreambeat out front, was the first time listening to the show when I smiled and said "now that's cool."
Bono went on to alter the lyrics and Edge did different things in the solo; the result was a very exciting treatment.
I hope the band realizes just how good it is when they take the time to recast their songs (Zoo TV's Bullet>Running, the PopMart Streets, Elevation's Fly, etc.).
