Why can't I see FortuneCity image-links?

I've always thought that when the FortuneCity logos appear in threads... it was a part of the joke people were talking about with the pictures... until I opened a new browser and pasted the link address and then finally saw the picture...



so my question is: Why can't I see FortuneCity pics in the forum threads?

FortuneCity probably doesn't allow direct object linking (posting only pictures instead of linking to actual web pages).

fwiw, i don't believe most free web hosting places (angelfire, geocities, etc.) allow it either. just thought i'd say it now in case someone's wondering later.

They don't. Xoom and Tripod are a couple other common examples of such that I've encountered in the past.

That's right. I have a Tripod site. It's a history site. I couldn't start a U2 site if my life depended on it.
