Thread erased?

Just curious...Does a thread get erased? I commented to someone this morning and it seemed like it got erased?

Sometimes if a thread is closed it will be moved to an area that is only visible by the moderators. More commonly, it is moved to a different forum and/or it was merged into another thread.

Since you are a premium member, you can click on the 'profile' button at the bottom of one of your posts. Near the bottom of your profile is a link that says 'search for all posts by this user' - then you can look back at all the posts you've made in the past few days and see what forum/thread they are in.

Oh I see...someone commented on a bodily function this morning ... so it did get erased?

It's a bit trickier to track your posts when you're not premium (I'm not sure that you can do it at all unless you subscribe to a thread) - but glad you figured it out!

BTW I don't see any recently 'deleted' threads that fit your description...

I did end up finding it....

Hmm I thought I was a premium member? I do the mthly rate...Does that mean I can't subscribe to other threads?

No you are a premium member - if you were not, there would not be an easy way to find your post (because a non-premium member cannot access the profile feature). Non-premium people also cannot use the search function (which would be another way to find a post if you remembered one of the words you used). The only way non-premium members could keep track of their posts would be to subscribe to each thread they post in.

The subscribe function is available at the top of each thread - when you subscribe to one, you will be notified every time someone makes a new reply to it, so your email box or control panel can get clogged very quickly.
