The Post Button revisited

Considering the amount of leecher-n00bs that have been pressing the wrong button and made a million request threads in eykiw, i think this thread should be merged with this one and reopened.

http://forum.interference.com/showth...8&pagenumber=2

I think we have plenty of proof now that what was suggested here was a good idea.

Is there a compelling reason NOT to change it?

Isn't it simply a matter of changing this image file and reuploading?

What the hell is that image on it supposed to be anyway?

To me it looks like an unlit green lightbulb.

Only that we shouldn't let the illiterate dictate how a message board is designed.

I dare say I'm quite literate and they were confusing to me when I was new here. The word post when used on a message board generally means a comment or a response on that board, without any specification that it is the initial message in the thread. Just look at the post count indicator below every members user name etc. There posts are every comment they have made on the boards and not just the new threads they have started.

Now if the one marked post was marked new thread or new topic there would be a lot less confusion.

Normal sheesh

My comment was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

I had no idea the post/reply thing was such an issue.

It's usually not, which is why Elvis has not changed it.
