That blasted 45 second rule!!!

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that the 45 second rule is really annoying and makes people post banghead smileys on a regular basis! What exactly is the purpose of that rule? Can we get rid of it? Please?

I never had the problem when I had dial-up (I swear I must have had the slowest connection on earth ). Get it occasionally now, but I just smile and remember the days of dial-up...

I like the 45 second rule. I may get aggravated with it from time to time but just imagine the spam that would come through here. Also, imagine you just kept posting like everyone else over and over at the same time. The whole place would crash I assume. I say let it stay.
