Smilies don't move

I visited this forum on another computer and to my surprise the smilies moved!
They don't on my own computer nor do the gifs.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks Sicy, for your quick reply

I use Internet Explorer. I cleared the cookies, but the smilies still don't move.

I'm just curious, can you try it with Firefox.. so I can see if its a browser problem, or possibly some other software you have that is installed that might be interfering (like Norton?) I'm really not sure.

Where I work we use Internet Explorer and the smilies move there.
I shut down my ZoneAlarm firewall, but they still didn't move.
Thanks for trying to help

Do animations work on any other sites at all?

If not, it might be that animations are turned off in your IE settings.

In IE, click the Tools button on the top, and click Internet Settings. In that window, go to the Advanced tab and scroll down the list of options to Multimedia. Make sure 'Play animations in webpages' is checked. If it's not, check the box and click Apply.

I am such a computer dummy, I didn't know those options were there.
The smilies and gifs move now

Thank you and Sicy both for your help!
