Any idea if/when this will be resolved?

90 milliseconds in a tracert isnt slow.

What has been causing slowness however is that the site has been VERY busy, with as many as 500 people reading the site at once (not just on the forum). We have also been getting hit VERY hard by search engines lately...

Now, under most circumstances... its GOOD for a website to be busy :D ... however... in our case it means that most likely we'll be getting another/additional new server in the near future most likely in order to deal with the increase in traffic/usage that we are experiencing... and that I'm expecting with the new album and tour. If you're curious... I'm expecting a 33-50% increase in traffic in the next 2-4 months, and possibly an increase in new members of 25-40% within the next 2-6 months.

Since the site is entirely financially supported by Premium Memberships, and a little bit of advertising, I'm HOPING that the increase in traffic will reflect in a proportional increase in Prem Memberships... otherwise we're going to need to have a lil fundraiser (although I'm not aiming for that).

Make sense?

Yep. I just thought the one large hop there looked odd and was thinking it might have been a network/routing issue. Thanks for the information. Hopefully you'll get lots of premium memberships so you can get a nice shiny new server.

It's been slow for me as well, but I wasn't sure if it was due to my DSL connection dropping frequently these days. Yesterday, I got server timeouts and "no data" messages every time I tried to get on Interference. I thought, "oh, boy, I hope this is cleared up before the new album or coming here'll be a waste of time".

A "fund raiser" could be fun.......
